As a System Engineer, He/she is responsible for the design and integration of complex systems within industrial clients.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for integration of various sub-systems
· Gather requirements from sub-systems and applications.
· Design infrastructure (Hardware and Virtualisation), racks, servers (Memory, CPU.., VM and SDDC, HCI, Switches, Backup solutions, etc.
· Collaborate with the solutions vendors to design and specify the components to procure.
· Define and configure systems: OS, VM, SDN, COTS, Network configuration (IP, VLAN, Routing), apply hardening procedures, NMS, CMDB
· Propose testing scenarios and provide support for their implementation
· Support testing team
· Provide associated documentation, according to the internal process
Requirements
· Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline (essential)
· Minimum of 5 years experience in a System Engineering role
· Knowledge in the following fields is highly beneficial:
o IT Infrastructure Design and Implementation
o Data Centre Design and Implementation
o Disaster recovery design and implementation, such as Arcserve
o High Availability features and systems
o Data Centre and Network Virtualization
o Storage and Backup Systems
o System configuration & troubleshooting, and
o Load, Performance and Integration testing
· Experience with different communication protocols at Network and Application level i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, LDAP, SNTP, etc.
· Practice of Linux and Windows.
· Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle in an industrial environment
· Certifications are an added advantage: TOGAF, VCAP Data Centre and Network Engineering role
· Strong oral and written communications skills.

Pay: $5,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
