UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy at its Dover Campus for a General Worker (Housekeeping) for hire immediately.
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor - Housekeeping, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the office and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include but not limit to the following:
Main Responsibilities
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floor
- Cleaning of toilets, bedrooms, classrooms, offices, common areas etc.
- Ensure outside walkways/ corridors/staircases remain clear and free of debris Inform supervisors of any defects/ repairs required
- Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College
Person Specifications
- GCE “O” Levels and below with at least 1 year relevant experience
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team
- Excellent organisational skill is a must
- Self-motivated and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
