Job Title: Pastry Commis

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Pastry Commis to prepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking and decorating, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing products.

Responsibilities:

· Mixing various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g., chocolate caramel sauce, fruits)

· Decorating cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream, and edible toppings (e.g., flowers)

· Preparing custom-made pastries based on customers' preferences (e.g., birthday cakes)

· Tracking food supplies and placing orders as needed

· Ensuring all baked goods meet quality standards and are presented attractively

Requirements:

· Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role

· Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters

· Understanding of food safety practices

· Experience with cake decoration techniques

· Excellent time-management skills

· Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment

· Team spirit and a customer-focused attitude

· Flexibility to work in early morning shifts

· Certification from a culinary school is a plus
