Project Engineer – Chemical System / Tool Utilities Hook-up
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, monitor, and periodically update work progress and construction schedules with subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Independently manage assigned project tasks in coordination with the engineering team, project owner, and subcontractors/suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, quality, and safety performance by coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare BQ material, PTW work-permit applications, and submit engineering documentation/technical drawings per project requirements.
- Review and understand GA drawings, schematic layouts, and PFD drawings.
- Develop basic isometric drawings or P&ID layouts using AutoCAD 2D software.
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating, monitoring, and controlling project execution in line with schedule, cost, and scope baselines.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health & safety requirements as per client and company policies.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Chemical Distribution Systems, Waste Chemical Systems, or Slurry Systems for Wafer Fabrication is advantageous.
- Experience in Chemical process piping, chemical equipment installation, and Tools installation Hookup projects related to the semiconductor industry is advantageous.
- Technical knowledge of Ultra-Pure Piping (UHP) systems, tubing components & fittings installation, and cleanroom utilities hook-up in Chemical & Waste Chemical Distribution, Slurry Chemicals, Bulk & Specialty Gas, Exhaust, UPW, Drain, etc.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel for data entry and updates).
- At least 1 year of experience in Microelectronics, Semiconductor, Cleanroom Factory Automation, or Basebuild Fab construction is preferred.
- A driven, responsible, and mature team player with a positive learning attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (both verbal and written), and organizational skills.
