The Sensors Division undertakes research and development in a wide range of sensor technologies, including radar, acoustics, electro-optics and underwater, to provide the SAF with a recognised battlefield situation picture.

Electrical and Electronics Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Part of a multi-disciplinary team to design and develop low Size Weight and Power (SWaP) sensing systems
- Select and evaluate sensor components with power budgeting and optimization taken into consideration
- Design, develop and test electronic circuits for sensor interfaces, power management and communication
- Design and implement microcontroller-based systems for sensor control and data processing
- Liaise and oversee external vendors for the PCB fabrication and assembly
- Undertake prototype integration and testing
Requirements
- Master / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Basic understanding of embedded system development on microcontrollers, serial bus interfaces actuators and control
- Able to read and understand electronics datasheets and schematic diagrams
- Working knowledge of PCB design, C/C++ and Python programming
- System thinking ability and system conceptualisation
- Passionate or strong interest in developing low SWaP electronic sensing and compute modules on embedded platforms
- Able to work independently and be resourceful
