LECTURER, MEDICAL DOCTOR - SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences.
[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plan, develop and conduct both online and face-to-face lectures and tutorials sessions for Diploma, Specialist and Advanced Diploma modules in at least two of the following areas:
Human Biology
Pharmacology
Integrated Nursing Sciences
Health Assessment
Digital Health
Implement the latest ICT-enabled learning pedagogies and support the development of such tools.
Provide pastoral care to students to support learning.
Support school’s outreach efforts, students’ local and overseas programmes.
Support academic support duties and any other duties as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
A degree in medicine or equivalent.
At least 3 years’ working experience in clinical and/or hospital setting.
Familiar with clinical practice at hospital wards and the teaching of the inter-relationship between normal body functioning and the underlying physiology, pathophysiological mechanism of diseases states and their pharmacological management is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional pre-requisites that are advantageous:
Post- Graduate Diploma in Higher Education, Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and/or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE)
