You will be work on creating and curating reading programmes for Seniors as an Intern under the Programme & Services division.
[What you will be working on]
- Conduct research to create senior-friendly reading and learning packages (e.g. slides, short videos or other formats) based on topics of interest to seniors from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds.
- Evaluate and enhance digital engagement initiatives promoting reading to seniors.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of programmes to engage seniors through working with staff, volunteers and other community partners. Build rapport and develop a good understanding of the library's senior users and their profiles through day-to-day ground engagement in order to more effectively promote our collections and services.
[What we are looking for]
- Students from gerontology studies, psychology or social work related courses preferred.
- Interest in working primarily with seniors.
- Interest and knowledge in basic office software and graphic design platforms such as Canva.
- Team player with a love for the written word or passion for reading and acquiring new knowledge.
- Ability to speak mother tongue languages and local dialects when interacting with the Seniors will be beneficial for the role.
- Familiarity and interest in content-generated AI apps will also be beneficial for the role.
