The Air Logistics Procurement Manager is responsible for leading carrier relationships and overseeing procurement activities

This role includes managing the procurement of long-term agreements, creating and maintaining contracts, providing information for internal visibility, and continuously exchanging information with carrier partners regarding performance, contract compliance, and commercial adherence

Your Responsibilities
- Source and procure air freight capacity with commercial carries, charter carriers and GSAs that are cost-effective and in line with GA-X procurement strategy
- Negotiate with and select carriers based on demand, rate, capacity and service quality
- Continuously review existing contracts and allotments with airlines to ensure on-going feasibility
- Ensure the correct administration of contracts, by ensuring documentation through Procurement Master file and Allocation-code usage
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with our airline partners and with the GSA community and scout and develop new ones
- Regularly assess carrier performance and organize business review meetings with our main airline partners
- Prepare procurement reports and control contract usage
- Support and collaborate with Gateway operations and development teams, to enhance service, commercial attractiveness and market leading solutions
- Bachelors / First University Degree Business / Logistics / Finance or related fields
- Excellent Knowledge of Air Logistics transportation
- Experience in direct customer contact
- Advanced Interpersonal/Intercultural skills in order to manage variety of stakeholders in countries
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts
- Strong decision making capabilities and high accountability; ability and willingness to decide on the basis of agreed criteria and to make decisions also in difficult situations
- Ability to recognize industry and market trends and developments and to translate them into profitable business opportunities
- Willingness to collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure clarity of the requirements and in decision making process, to get buy-in and to implement solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines/timelines with high energy and resilience
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms
- Excellent analytical, financial and problem-solving skills , strategic and planning skills, international mindset
