Assistant Director, Research & Statistics Unit
We would like to invite an independent and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in playing a team lead role to drive the growth of Singapore’s digital economy.
Responsibilities
Lead team in conducting research and studies by applying techniques in data analytics and econometrics on data sets from multiple sources to answer IMDA’s strategy and policy questions related to the digital economy.
Lead the team in the presentation of insights derived from data, econometric and statistical analysis, including using relevant data visualisation tools.
Work with internal divisions and relevant government/public agencies on economic, statistical analysis and/or data analytics to facilitate evidence-based policy and strategy formulation and decision-making.
Requirements
A good understanding of the infocomm and media sectors and economic landscape, with minimally 8 years of experience in relevant fields or capacity, including experience in leading teams.
Strong analytical skills with Eonomics, Statistical and/or Data Analytics background, with experience in the use of statistical tools (e.g. Python, R, Stata), and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Qliksense).
You should enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while building effective relationship with stakeholders from different teams and job functions.
You should also have excellent writing and communication skills, with a strong ability to convey the insights from your analysis in a clear and concise manner using data visual tools
