Head of Organization Development (OD)

Position Overview:

The Head of Organization Development (OD) will be a strategic leader responsible for conceptualizing and implementing innovative organizational designs that align with the company’s goals. This role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation, and following up on post-implementation outcomes to guarantee continuous improvement. A key aspect of this role is integrating digital and technological tools into the OD framework to drive operational efficiency, enhance organizational effectiveness, and future-proof the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Organization Design Conceptualization:

  • Lead the conceptualization, development, and implementation of organization design strategies that align with the company's vision and business goals.
  • Design scalable, flexible, and effective organizational structures that support business growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to assess business requirements and design structures that optimize talent, resources, and processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Implementation:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (HR, senior leadership, business units) to ensure alignment and successful execution of organization design strategies.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate organizational design principles into the broader business strategy.
  • Oversee the operationalization of new structures, roles, and processes, ensuring they meet the strategic goals and are effectively communicated to all employees.

Post-Implementation Follow-up & Review:

  • Monitor the success of implemented organizational changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and gather feedback from employees and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of new organizational structures.
  • Provide recommendations and adjustments based on follow-up data to ensure continuous optimization of the organization’s design and structure.
  • Ensure a smooth transition post-implementation, addressing challenges and making necessary modifications for long-term sustainability.

Digital & Technology Integration:

  • Explore and integrate digital and technological solutions to enhance organizational design, improve communication, and streamline processes.
  • Leverage technology to create data-driven insights for ongoing assessments of organizational effectiveness and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT and digital transformation teams to ensure the adoption of tools that improve collaboration, performance tracking, and employee engagement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies, bringing forward innovative solutions that align with organizational goals and enhance OD strategies.

Change Management & Communication:

  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational design implementations and transformations.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that effectively convey changes to the organization and ensure employee engagement throughout the process.
  • Act as a change ambassador, guiding employees through shifts in structure, roles, and responsibilities, while maintaining morale and productivity.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:

  • Continuously assess the organization's effectiveness in terms of structure, culture, and performance, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices in organizational development, ensuring the company adopts leading-edge methods for optimizing performance.
  • Share insights and recommendations with leadership on how to refine organizational strategies to stay competitive in a fast-changing business environment.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead a team of OD professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to build a high-performing team.
  • Ensure that the OD team is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to execute on strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
