Director (Corporate Communications Department)
We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment.
You will lead and manage the Corporate Communications team and be responsible for developing strategic communications framework to build positive reputation and mindshare for BCA and the built environment sector.
The key responsibilities are:
Develop and implement an organisation-wide strategic framework for communications which include identifying the comms priorities, objectives and narratives in line with organisation priorities to positively shape public perception of BCA and the built environment sector
Oversee and lead the media management of BCA issues to ensure key messages are communicated effectively, including leading communication efforts during crises to protect BCA’s reputation
Oversee the development and execution of various public campaigns, including industry branding, across different media platforms to convey key messages to target audiences
Direct the organisation’s digital communications strategy to grow and strengthen its digital and social presence
Maintain and enhance the organisations’ brand identity across all channels
Manage the corporate communications team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve communication outcomes
The candidate should possess:
At least 15 years of related work experience in leading and managing corporate communication functions such as media relations, marketing, digital and integrated communications
Able to lead, develop and motivate team members to deliver desired results
Have strong storytelling, writing and editing skills
University degree, preferably in communications and marketing related fields
Able to multi-task, manage tight timelines and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
A strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
Professional and positive attitude towards work and learning
Good understanding of the media landscape and good rapport with editors/journalists
