The Early Years Educator is attuned and responsive to the needs of young children. He/she successfully creates a secure environment for young children through enhancing respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with them; a quality learning environment through designing and implementing developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum.
The Early Years Educator is proactive and intentional in building trusting and respectful partnerships with parents and families, and supports the centre’s collaborative efforts in engaging the community. He/she actively engages in and contributes to centre initiatives, contributing to fostering a culture of collaboration and collegiality. The Early Years Educator also engages in continuous learning and reflective practice.
Fresh graduates from Advance Certificate in Early Years (ACEY), Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE) are welcome to apply.
Job Requirements
- Possess Advance Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) / Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE) or its equivalent
- At least Secondary 4 education or 10 years of formal education and attained an average level of 5 under the Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Employability Skills (ES) WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) series and any one of the following: credit in GCE’O’ level EL1; Minimum band of 5.5 in IELTS (General); SOA 5 for WPL (writing)
- 1 year teaching experience in a child care environment
- Knowledge of inquiry based learning an advantage
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with sound working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Show passion, dedication and willingness to make a difference in children’s learning
