What you will do
- Production Operations Scheduling
- Coordinate with planning to manage the full production lifecycle, ensuring timely completion of work orders and optimizing equipment and processes to meet customer delivery dates
- Lead shift and manpower management, focusing on operational efficiency, and evaluate team members' skills to identify training needs and develop improvement plans.
- Delivery
- Coordinate production scheduling, optimize equipment and processes to meet delivery dates, manage shift and manpower efficiency, and assess team skills to identify training needs and drive development plans.
- Production Performance & KPIs
- Responsible for production performance based on backlog quantity, first pass yield, productivity, TAT, WIP targets, NCC & SMR targets.
- Continuous improvement
- Lead and participate in Smart Lean Program initiatives, foster a lean culture, and collaborate with the team to achieve key milestones such as expansion audits and silver/gold standard attainment
- Environment, Health & Safety
- Collect data and report status during emergency situations while ensuring a safe work environment through optimized work instructions and improved working conditions
- Communicate EHS requirements to employees and contractors, ensuring full understanding and compliance with regulations, procedures, and safety practices.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing or Process related courses
- Proficient in MS office
- Experienced in leading large groups of operators, leaders & technicians (> 50 headcount from diverse background)
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills with manufacturing and engineering / technical background
- Experienced in leading and driving continuous improvement projects with proven results
- Experienced in lean manufacturing methods, concepts and knowledge
- Fluent bilingual communicator ensuring clear collaboration and effective daily communication with operators of limited language proficiency
- Experienced in shop floor transformation adopting lean methodology.
- Self-motivated and a goal getter.
- Strong organizational, people management, and leadership abilities with extensive experience in operations and hands-on shop floor management.
- Good numeracy and communication skills, with proven analytical abilities.
