Corporate Affairs & Communication

We handle leading corporate communications, branding and marketing, partnerships, social impact, and other communications with internal and external collaborators.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will play a key role in positioning GIC as the leading global long-term investor.

What will you do as an Associate, Corporate Communications?

Your work will involve two parts, Thought Leadership and Investment Communications (Asia) and Enterprise Risk.

Under Thought Leadership, you will:

  • Be directly involved in the production and publication of thought leadership content across a variety of mediums (articles, reports speeches, presentations, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with team members to promote these content pieces through multiple channels (the GIC thought leadership page, ThinkSpace, external speaking engagements, external partners, social media, newsletters, etc.)
  • Support capacity-building efforts, including the coordination of spokesperson training and the upkeep of our briefing notes, guides, and other thought leadership resources
  • Contribute to programming and content development work for flagship events such as GIC Insights and key thought leadership deliverables like the GIC Report


Under Investment Communications (Asia) and Enterprise Risk, you will:

  • Assist in the planning and disclosure of transaction announcements. Write, review, and proof these communications materials, as required
  • Contribute to reputation management activities and work with senior team members to provide value-add counsel to the investment teams in assessing reputation risks across multiple geographies and sectors. This will involve working with other internal teams such as Legal/Compliance and Business Continuity Management teams
  • Support the development and execution of communication projects to engender an understanding of GIC. This includes being part of the team that puts together the GIC Annual Report with responsibilities such as assisting with developing and tracking project timelines, writing and proofing related content
  • Assist the team’s efforts to maintain strong working relationships with business/financial and trade media across channels and monitor and track media coverage in real-time to identify emerging issues, while pitching stories to the media


What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in corporate communications, public relations, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of editorial, communications and/ or project management experience in a fast-paced, high-performing, and large organisation
  • Experience in communications agencies, consulting, or financial services highly preferred
  • Knowledge of and exposure to the financial services and asset management industries, with familiarity in topics such as macroeconomic and investment trends, geopolitics, and sustainability
  • Passion for distilling complex information into compelling and concise content and producing targeted materials for a variety of audiences
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy, even when managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong time management and organisational skills; self-motivated, flexible, and proactive
