About The Role
Objective of the role:
The Communications Specialist is a business partner to the Japan Area Manager. As a business partner, one is required to understand the business and drive communications activities to help achieve the area managers’ business objectives. In this role, one is required to work closely with various stakeholders within the regional communications team, global communications teams, and the local business teams. It is the responsibility of the Communications Specialist to serve as a local contact point responsible for coordinating all communications within JP while collaborating with the regional and global communications team for different areas of expertise. As a regional communications team member, one is required to own an area of expertise and develop it for the region.
The Communications Specialist based in the DNV Japan office and reports to the Regional Communications Manager who is based in Singapore.

- Translating existing digital content from English to Japanese.
- Website content management.
- SEM ad management.
- Email database growth and management.
- Define, manage and coordinate all communication activities for JP, considering unique customer requirements and business goals.
- Work collaboratively with the JP sales teams to support in achieving strategic targets.
- Maintain close cooperation with the APIME regional communications team to implement policies and procedures throughout the region.
- Execute the regional communication plan with the other plans for Business Assurance and wider Group strategy.
- Fuel sales by generating qualified leads through digital communication initiatives.
- Report communication results and ensure cost effectiveness in maximizing communications contribution to sales.
- Proactively drive DNV’s reputation, presence and brand visibility in JP.
- Analyze ongoing data trends to recommend changes and inform best practice.

About You
- Degree in Marketing / Business Management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role working for a multinational company.
- Experienced in lead generation via digital channels.
- Written and verbal Japanese & English language skills.
- Time management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Experienced in matrix reporting.
- Proactive and independent self-starter.
- Creative and adaptable.
- High degree of resilience.
