Our client, a diversified conglomerate, is hiring a dynamic and experienced Head of Communications and Branding to join their leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing corporate communications, branding, and partnerships, with a focus on strategic events, government and international collaborations, and internal/external communication efforts. This role is key in shaping and delivering our brand narrative across all channels while working cross-functionally to promote our corporate identity and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Branding and Communications Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated communications and branding strategies to elevate the company’s position in the market.
  • Define and communicate brand messaging across all platforms, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and business priorities.
  • Oversee the development of key communication materials, including corporate presentations, thought leadership pieces, press releases, and digital content.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, proactively adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

2. Events Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact events to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Manage internal and external events, including conferences, symposiums, and community outreach, ensuring alignment with brand values and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop event concepts, budgets, and logistical plans that maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Ensure smooth execution of events, from content development to post-event analysis, managing internal and external vendors.

3. Partnerships and External Relations

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with government agencies, NPOs, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring mutual benefits and synergies.
  • Represent the company at high-level industry events and forums, building the company’s reputation and strengthening external relationships.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities, working cross-functionally to explore and develop collaborative initiatives that align with the company’s mission and goals.

4. Internal Communications

  • Lead internal communications efforts to keep employees informed and engaged, fostering a strong organizational culture.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure alignment across departments and teams.
  • Oversee the creation of internal newsletters, employee announcements, and other communication tools.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communication matters, providing counsel and guidance as needed.

5. Media Relations and PR

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to ensure effective media coverage.
  • Manage media relations to drive positive coverage and public perception of the company.
  • Oversee crisis communications and reputation management strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in corporate communications, branding, and events management, with a proven track record in strategic communications roles.
  • Experience working directly with leadership and the ability to influence business outcomes through effective communication strategies.
  • Strong background in partnership management, especially with government bodies, NPOs, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Experience in both internal and external communications – must have led both corporate communications and internal engagement programs.
  • Demonstrated event management experience, including coordinating large-scale events and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms for content creation, media monitoring, and social media.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
  • Candidates must have experience in corporate or in-house communications roles.
