Position Summary

The Application Support Engineer will be part of a team of engineers who will be required to play a crucial role in troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and carrying out day to day operational activities primarily responsible for providing application support to a suite of Payments System applications in production to ensure maximum service uptime.

The incumbent should be proficient in ACI BASE24 applications & Nonstop platform and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality day-to-day L2 Production support for ACI Base24 applications, troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance & security patching activities.
  • Manage new application releases, adhering to the best practices of the release management process
  • Collaborate with various teams including Development, Infrastructure, Vendors, Security and Change management teams, to provide seamless support for the business.
  • Manage Production issues by responding in a timely per the Service Level Agreement with the Business
  • Enhance existing support process to maintain/improve service level & quality.
  • Monitor application performance with Prognosis tools and identify improvement areas.
  • Document support processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related Technology disciplines in medium to large organizations
  • At least 5 years of experience in the programming languages such as: TAL, C, C++, COBOL, ENSCRIBE
  • Prior experience with Base24 Applications such as: Base24-Classic and Base24-EPS modules – POS Device Handler, POS Authorization, Host and Interchange ISO8583 Interfaces
  • Expertise in HP Nonstop tools like FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, Debug, Spoolcom, Pathway, Enform, DDL, Guardian Procedure calls, TCP/IP programing, TMF
  • In-depth understanding of Online Transaction Processing
  • Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards in HPE Nonstop development environment
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Application Support Domain with skills for managing and troubleshooting the Production issues
