What You Will Be Working On

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, test and maintain CPF Board’s data analytics platform. This includes the data infrastructure, data ingestion pipelines, data store and data processing on Azure Government Commercial Cloud.
  • Design, build, deploy, maintain and monitor end-to-end data projects which includes pipelines for batch and stream processing that can adequately handle the needs of a rapidly growing data-driven organisation.
  • Create processes for continuous integration and big data database management, and creating scripts to facilitate operations (e.g., infrastructure-as-a-code and automation of tasks)
  • Responsible for the building of scalable and reliable Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes for the ingestion and integration of large, structured and unstructured data from a variety of data sources. This includes systems that are on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Implement and execute data security and data quality measurements to ensure compliance to data security and data governance policies.


What We Are Looking For

We value the diverse talents and experiences that each individual brings to the table. While mastery of every requirement may not be necessary, familiarity and expertise in some of the following areas will position you for success within this team.

  • Relevant experience as a data engineer leveraging on Commercial Cloud tools.
  • Experience working with big data ecosystems, Hadoop & Spark architecture and building data-intensive applications and pipelines.
  • Experience in installing, configuring and supporting Linux and Microsoft Windows Servers, and setting up, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Apache and Tomcat application servers.
  • Exposure or working knowledge on scripts and DevOps tools, container services, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Exposure or working knowledge on developing, maintaining and monitoring APIs.


The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.

Position is on a 1-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with an option to renew, contingent upon confirmation and subject to organisational needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
