What are we looking for?
Our Semiconductor EPCMV business is growing, and we are recruiting leaders.This Senior Mechanical Engineer position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities for our global projects in EU & US to work remotely based out of Singapore office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and leadership. They will exhibit a passion and desire to apply their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and professionally rewarding projects.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer should be willing to work as a team member and assist engineers to mentor younger members of the team, and mentored by other engineers. Training will be on going with continuous professional development throughout their career with Arcadis.

Job Scope:
- The Senior Engineer shall be responsible for full system designs under the supervision of a Lead Engineer on large projects and under their own initiative on smaller projects reporting to their Manager or Project Manager.
- The Senior Engineer shall be responsible where required, depending on the size of projects, to run a team of Engineers, Designers and Technicians and report to the manager or Project Manager.
- Perform necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.
- Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.
- Follow quality and have an understanding of the CAD/BIM standards.
- Provide technical support and assistance to Engineers and Technicians.
- Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
- Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.
- Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
- Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
- Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
- Work towards site master planning, concept designs and preliminary through to construction engineering phases with other team members as the Semiconductor Global process expert across multiple global projects.
- Keep on top of technology and industry trends and development.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of group’s systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Develop system sequences of operation and P&ID’s.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager inclusive but not limited to the above.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in building services/mechanical engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience with industrial/commercial design.
- Semiconductor experience preferable(but not a must), skill sets: wet and dry black facilities, calculations, specifications, detailing and sizing.
- Relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.
- Engineering/design experience in the Mech/HVAC systems.
- Experience with start-up and commissioning will be an advantage.
- Experience in equipment layout definition.
- Excellent English level - written and spoken.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated initiative.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite of Programs).
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of Mech/HVAC specific design standards (minimum UK/EU), with an understanding of the international building codes.
- Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
- Experience using 3D BIM environment.
