About Client

Well-known chain (US-headquartered) that offers a wide range of products including fashion, electronics, groceries and more. Famous for its one-stop-shop concept, they also have their own brand of products and is currently going through major expansion within the SEA region, having Singapore as their regional HQ. In addition, they have strong CSR involvement and have initiatives to reduce their environmental impact.

Job Description:

  • Source vendors and develop products according to the objectives and requirements from the buying team.
  • Monitor day to day operation including supplier management, product development, quote sheets, sample verification & order follow up.
  • Responsible for trade terms negotiation and vendor set up, on time shipment & Critical Path management.
  • Responsible for vendor relationship and KPI measurements
  • Communicate daily with buyers and vendors to ensure programs are delivered as per schedule.
  • Coordinate the sourcing activities with QA, Supply chain and packaging team.
  • Responsible to look after Toys and Sporting Goods categories. E.g. Summer Toys, Girl Toy, Boy Toy, Preschool Toy, Fitness, Hunting/Fishing, Camping.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Degree holder highly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related product categories
  • Knowledge of U.S. retail industry/sourcing industry
  • Experience in U.S. Sourcing/Buying office would be preferred. Familiar with sourcing landscape in China, Southeast Asia, India and Pakistan
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements for U.S. market
  • Familiar with supply chain optimization process
