- Assist Construction Manager in daily works.
- Assist Construction Manager to manage and control overall construction activities in all aspects to successfully meet the project specifications and schedules in accordance with the performance requirements and project objectives.
- Assist in evaluating vendors, suppliers, examiners, checkers, sub-contractors, direct supply labour force etc.
- Monitor constructability reviews,
- Select and implement construction procedures most appropriate to the project considering the site conditions and the modular approach.
- Manage the mobilization schedule regarding staff, labour and equipment for the project
- Oversee and control all construction/fabrication at yards (if applicable), off-site, and on-site.
- Develop the Construction Organization Plan and HSE Program and implement, maintain, track, evaluate, close any post-mortem plans throughout overall project period.
- Organize the construction works among construction team, partners, contractors and external parties, stakeholders.
- Arrange engineers and site supervisors to inspect the construction activities of contractors.
- Coordinate between contractors/fabricators at yard.
- Develop the general construction schedule, and prepare the monthly and weekly schedule, and monitor the implementation of these schedules.
- Facilitate planner to exercise his/her planning/ scheduling works.
- Monitor the schedule to facilitate completion on time.
- Site material control and field engineering.
- Take part in site construction coordination meeting and make sure to any issues;.
- Take part in cost control, review the variation claim and monthly progress payment application.
- Facilitate any claim, SOP, arbitration, mediation or any adjudication when requested by management.
- Diploma, Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical preference) or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in project management, construction, design, testing and commissioning of thermal process plant systems e.g. boiler, furnace, heat-exchangers, flue gas treatment system.
- Familiar with heavy lifting, bulky equipment, items installation and logistic planning. Experience in water and wastewater will be added advantage.
- Well versed in contract management, Quality Assurance and HSE matters. Experience in Process Plant engineering interfacing and coordination will be added advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; meticulous; self-driven, independent.
- Willing to work in Tuas.
- This is a 2 years contract role.
