Job Description:
  • Conduct daily inspections to maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of the data center in collaboration with the Authority-appointed Supplier.
  • Coordinate with the Supplier on site preparation tasks, including network cabling and electrical wiring, as required.
  • Ensure proper organization and neat arrangement of network cabling within the data center and racks.
  • Work alongside the Supplier for scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance, servicing, repairs, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including gathering inputs from affected parties and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Provide on-site support during maintenance activities unless otherwise agreed by the Authority.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of the data center's design layouts.
  • Manage the physical security of the data center per the guidelines provided by the Authority.
  • Monitor and ensure optimal operation of security infrastructure, including: Security Alarm and Security Card Access System, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)
  • Enforce access control policies, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the data center.
  • Escort all visitors and ensure their activities are recorded in the on-site log
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of network cabling, electrical wiring, and data center infrastructure.
  • Experience in maintenance coordination and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with data center security protocols, CCTV systems, and access control mechanisms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure continuous data center operations
