- To assist in performing new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trails to commercialization, focusing especially on sauces.
- To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials.
- To conceptualize new and innovative products.
- Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.
- To develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
- Perform physio-chemical test, sensory evaluation and microbiological tests on food products.
- Perform product shelf-life study tests.
- Monitor raw materials, packaging materials and finished product quality.
- Coordinate with the external pest control service provider.
- Attend and provide support in external food safety audits.
- Attend to any other ad-hoc quality and safety matters.
- Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
