Responsibilities

Manages human resource operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation and benefits strategies. Implements human resource strategies in talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, and employee relation and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of effective and responsive human resources function.
  • Review and analyse HR statistics and reports to recommend changes to HR practices and organisational planning to suit company direction and improve productivity.
  • Responsible for budgeting, reviewing and forecasting of all HR related costs of employees in the Non-Management up till Manager Level, and present during P&L sessions to the management.
  • Review and implement HR policies to support the rapid growth and expansion of the organisation, and meet governmental needs.
  • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analysing information and applications.
  • Review and manage the Performance Management scheme to drive high performance culture.
  • Develop training and development plan of all staff.
  • Manage the recruitment and orientation of all staff, including recruitment of selected senior positions personally.
  • Monitor and review salary and grading structure, research market data to ensure competitiveness.
  • Manage the payroll function of the Non-Management up till Manager level and ensure the payroll cycles and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance for both internal and external audits for HR operations.
  • Manage and/or administer disciplinary procedures, refereeing disputes and terminating staff.
  • Manage the health and welfare policies of the company.
  • Manage and liaise with insurance broker and adjusters on all insurance claim cases.
  • Develops Employee Engagement Plan and executes plan to ensure high employee engagement.
  • To recommend staff welfare activities and implement programs/ activities that support Tangs social, environmental and charitable causes.
  • Work closely with various Head of Departments on manpower planning, recruitment and development of all departments.
  • To manage the overall HR and payroll services rendered to subsidiaries.
  • Overall responsible for the smooth running of the HR information system.
  • Oversee and manage Corporate Office Admin and Reception.

Qualifications

  • Degree Holder in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • 5 to 7 years of HR experiences with minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory role
  • Knowledge and application of local employment statutory regulations, policies, and practices
  • Experience in leading through change in Retail Environment is a plus
