You will help to build and sustain strong technology foundations forming the bedrock of GIC's digital solutions.What will you do as an AVP, Infrastructure Engineer (Networks/Networks Automation)?Automation Development:
- Design, develop, and implement network automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform.
- Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules to automate network configurations and services.
- Integrate Ansible automation workflows with GitHub CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
- Integrate Ansible with Grafana for automation metric and statistic Dashboarding and Django for automation reporting.
- Ensure automated solutions are aligned with network architecture, security policies, and best practices.
- Strong knowledge and experience on Network and Security infrastructure products such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, Symantec, Zscaler, AWS and Azure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, leveraging automation to improve response times and accuracy.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new automation tools and techniques to enhance network operations.
- Optimize existing automation scripts and processes for improved performance and scalability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in network automation and CI/CD practices.
- Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of automated network services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and automation specialists.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to support network automation initiatives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation scripts, processes, and network configurations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Minimum of 5 years of core networking experience, including routing, switching, and firewall management.
- Experience with network security standards (e.g., CIS, CCOP), network performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Extensive experience with Ansible Automation Platform for network automation, including proficiency in Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git) and proven experience in integrating automation workflows with GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments. Proficiency with Jira for issue tracking and project management, experience using Confluence for documentation and team collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, and DNS.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments, familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in software development and monitoring technologies (e.g., Python, Java, Django, React, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
- Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable. Certifications in automation tools (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation) are a plus. Programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) are a plus.
