- Assume the role of the veterinary manager on the veterinary centre license to ensure compliance of Temasek Polytechnic's Animal Clinic and Wellness (TPACW) with Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) regulations.
- Plan and coordinate student clinical training at TPACW and external clinical attachments in consultation with course team.
- Work collaboratively with TPACW vendor for the delivery of clinical services and student training.
- Provide clinical services up to twice a week as a second vet at TPACW.
- Supervise student in-clinic training and assessment at TPACW.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials and practical lessons for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) courses.
- Work with the Veterinary Technology (VET) course team in curriculum development, lesson design and develop teaching and assessment materials.
- Provide pastoral care and mentor students in character development and career readiness.
- Relevant qualification in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery or equivalent
- Possess a current AVS veterinary license with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in veterinary clinics.
- Able to work in the evenings for CET night classes.
- Familiar with 'Day One Competences' for Veterinary Nurses.
- Have a passion for developing talents, and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and adult learners.
- Team player who is resourceful and able to work both collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience in small animals required. Additional experience in animal nutrition, animal or pet feed studies, aquatic or avian medicine would be advantageous.
