What the role is:The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) aspires to be a world-class organisation in delivering safety and security for our people. As part of the Policy Development Division (PDD), the Registry of Foreign and Political Disclosures (RFPD) is responsible for the administration of reporting requirements under the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act (MRHA), Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act (FICA) and the Maintenance of Racial Harmony Act (MRacHA). In carrying out our duties, RFPD seeks to safeguard our religious groups and politically significant persons from foreign influence.What you will be working on:The job holder will work with relevant agencies to: • Engage and manage racial groups that fall under the purview of MRacHA; • Develop and review workflows and operational policies to ensure smooth implementation of MRacHA reporting requirements; • Maintain and enhance the online reporting portal for racial groups and politically significant persons; • Enforce MRacHA's and FICA's obligations, including supporting the issuance of directions and stepped-up countermeasures where necessary; • Investigate instances of non-compliance with MRacHA, MRHA and FICA; and • Manage enquiries and feedback from members of public, racial groups, religious groups and politically significant persons.What we are looking for:
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; • Keen appreciation and sensitivity to the security risks that Singapore faces, including in relation to foreign influence, and safeguarding racial and religious harmony; • Independent, resourceful, highly motivated and able to work under pressure; and • Good command of written and spoken English. • Preferably with investigation and/ or compliance background/ experience. Please note that this is a temporary position up till end-2027. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
