What the role is:The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) aspires to be a world-class organisation in delivering safety and security for our people. As part of the Policy Development Division (PDD), the Registry of Foreign and Political Disclosures (RFPD) is responsible for the administration of reporting requirements under the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act (MRHA), Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act (FICA) and the Maintenance of Racial Harmony Act (MRacHA). In carrying out our duties, RFPD seeks to safeguard our religious groups and politically significant persons from foreign influence.What you will be working on:The job holder will work with relevant agencies to: • Support system development and sustainability, including providing inputs on system requirements/ workflows and creating step-by-step guide for online submissions for Digital services related to RFPD. • Maintain RFPD's database of registered racial groups under MRacHA and political entities/ persons under FICA. • Address and manage straight-forward enquiries from racial groups and political entities/ persons on the new MRacHA requirements and FICA requirements respectively. • Preparation and sending of MRacHA and FICA notifications to registered racial groups under MRacHA and political entities/ persons under FICA. • Provide guidance and handle system-related enquiries from racial groups and political entities on online submissions. • Tracking and verification of disclosure details by the racial groups/ political entities and highlight non-compliant cases to SOs. • Procurement of logistical materials for sending out notices, prepare envelopes and letter for registered mails etc. • Administrative functions, including maintenance of official files for RFPD, printing of notification letters/ advisories, maintenance of RFPD's webpage etc.What we are looking for:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; • Keen appreciation and sensitivity to the security risks that Singapore faces, including in relation to foreign influence, and safeguarding racial and religious harmony; • Independent and able to work under pressure; and • Good command of written and spoken English. Please note that this is a temporary role up till end-2027. All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
