Desktop Technician (2-Year Contract)

Job Overview:

The Desktop Technician supports IT service delivery, manages a Service Desk team, and provides on-site and remote L1/L2 support, including dedicated service for 200 VIP users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Ops Manager with IT service delivery operations.
  • Lead Service Desk engineers, ensuring SLA compliance and service quality.
  • Provide VIP user support, including after-hours service (with advance notice).
  • Manage ESM tickets and appointment systems.
  • Share knowledge and suggest playbook updates for service improvements.
  • Escalate major incidents or dissatisfaction promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in IT or related field.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft 365 (Fundamentals/Endpoint Admin), CCNA, ITIL 4 Foundation.

Technical Skills:

  • Windows, macOS, iOS, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Endpoint protection and video conferencing solutions.
  • Proficiency with ESM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

Experience and Soft Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years managing IT Service Desk operations.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Customer-focused and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
