Job Title: Business Analyst - Transformation Team

Reports To: Transformation Director

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the Transformation Team for our client in Insurance. In this role, you will support the business in driving significant change and transformation projects that enhance business processes, improve operational efficiency, and create value for our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of the insurance industry, and a passion for driving successful transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

    • Work with business stakeholders to identify, understand, and document business requirements for transformation initiatives.
    • Conduct workshops and interviews to gather detailed information and ensure requirements are fully understood.
    • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
  2. Process Mapping & Optimization:

    • Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and streamlining.
    • Develop process flow diagrams and documentation to visualize existing and future-state processes.
    • Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and align with industry best practices.
  3. Stakeholder Management:

    • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment and collaboration on transformation projects.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and potential risks or issues.
    • Act as the bridge between business users and IT teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of business solutions.
  4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement within the transformation process.
    • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and dashboards to provide insights and guide decision-making.
    • Support data-driven decision-making with recommendations based on analytical findings.
  5. Project Support:

    • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of transformation projects.
    • Work alongside project managers to manage project timelines, risks, and resources effectively.
    • Help ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the business requirements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes, products, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working on large-scale transformation projects, including digital transformation and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with process mapping, requirements documentation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools, data analytics, and reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project management principles is desirable (e.g., PMP, Scrum).
