Job Responsibilities
- To ensure compliance of fire safety rules and regulation
- To develop programs to train hospital staff in basic fire-fighting and rescuing.
- To meet the target set on performance indictors
- To train staff on the use of basic fire-fighting equipment.
- To train schedule meet.
- To coordinate, record and conduct fire drills as required
- To conduct regular inspection, identify, record and take immediate action to rectify potential fire hazards withthin the hospital.
- To inspect deadline meet.
- To ensure all fire emergency systems are in working condition and meet requirements of the Singapore Fire Safety Bureau.
- To meet maintenance work schedule.
- To liase with contractor(s) on the maintenance of all fire fighting equipment and to ensure all maintenance are carried out and recorded to meet the regulations
- To conduct scheduled maintenance inspection.
- To liase with other and to promote the awareness of fire safety.
- To coordinate on fire matters. Create awareness programme.
- Plan, prepare, check and endorse all safety plans before any works are carried out by in-house staff, sub-contractors and any other parties working on facilities maintenance and infrastructure upgrading works in the Hospital.
- Develop and conduct training of EHS training materials, toolbox talks materials, safety moments, safety videos etc.
- Assist with the investigations into all accidents, environmental incidents, and near-misses, ensuring root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions identified and closed.
- Drive continuous improvement, including the sharing of best practices
- Lead the implementation of Behavioral Based Safety Program
- Ensure document change, internal audits, management review, external audits are performed on time
- Track and timely renew all equipment, structural licenses ensuring compliance to governmental regulations
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Building Services Estates Management) with Senior Fire Safety Manager Certificate from SCDF or
- Diploma in Engineering (Building Services & Fire Safety)
