Accept ClosePress Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSearch JobsJob DescriptionJob Title: Research Fellow / Research Associate (Centre for Trusted Internet and Community)Posting Start Date: 13/02/2025Job Description:Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and capable full-time Postdoctoral Fellow and/or Research Associate to work on a project about assessing the impact of digital information resilience, funded by the Ministry of Education AcRF Tier 3 grant. The contract is renewable up to 2 yearsThe successful candidate will assist the funded research project entitled “Digital Information Resilience: Restoring Trust and Nudging Behaviours in Digitalisation”. The candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of scholars based in Singapore to advance research and knowledge on digital information resilience. The project aims to identify and measure digital information resilience for digital readiness, inclusion and safety based on an original indicator framework.The successful candidate will assist to develop new indicators for measuring digital information resilience. In general, they will conduct interviews, facilitate focus groups, develop and implement surveys, and code the data-sets using qualitative research methods. They will also be required to support project management, research admin and deliverables such as reports/journal articles, workshops and webinars. Specifically, they will be also assist minor work packages testing digital resilience using case studies on the impact of deep fakes and online harms on women, and the impact of generative AI on work in art and culture sector.QualificationsCandidates should have at least a PhD or Masters degree or equivalent in the Social Sciences/Humanities, and demonstrated research experience in communications, media and cultural studies, including digital media policy and regulation. The candidate should have interest and knowledge in digital wellbeing, information resilience, digital inequality/divide, and new media.The candidate should possess the following:
  • Excellent administration skills, and an aptitude for working in an interdisciplinary team environment;
  • Research experience in qualitative research (e.g., interview, focus groups);
  • Strong research skills and experience in using (or willingness to learn) qualitative data analysis software (NVivo);
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, and the ability to write for a variety of audiences;
