Our client is a US retail MNC with a strong global presence and SEA headquarters in Singapore. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee the regional finance team and play a pivotal role in managing the accounting functions for our client. This role is perfect for someone with solid leadership skills who can drive operational excellence across financial processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple regions.
  • Drive improvements in accounting processes, controls, and systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring adherence to IFRS/GAAP.
  • Support the team with audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the finance team, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possesses a Degree in Accountancy/Finance. ACCA or CPA graduates may also apply.
  • Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
  • 5 to 6 years of accounting experience, including team management or leadership experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards.
  • Proficient in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
