Job Responsibilities

Finance

  • Perform the Accounts Receivable function (including preparing invoices, collection of school / centre fees and following up on outstanding collections).
  • Perform Accounts Payable function (including checking staff claims /procurement documentation, entry into system and making payment).
  • Prepare journals, audit schedules and bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Set up and maintain fixed asset register.
  • Ensure prompt month end closing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of donations received (including liaising with Group Corp Comms to issue tax deductible receipts).
  • Assist Finance Manager with the preparation and management of budget (e.g. budget forecasts, budget tracking and monitoring the budget variance).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws, audit and GST reporting in accordance with good governance.
  • Liaise with both internal and/or external auditors and assist the Finance Manager with auditor’s requests.
  • Provide administrative support for School’s Fundraising Committee.
  • Support the school's tender processes from time to time.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

HR

  • Assist the HR Manager with recruitment. This includes advertising, short-listing and arranging for interviews for suitable candidates and thereafter manage the entire onboarding process for new employees.
  • Assist the HR Manager in benefits administration (e.g. processing of medical, dental and transport claims).
  • Assist with HR Administration (including training administration, ordering of name tags and/or name cards etc.)
  • Attend to HR related queries.

Job Holder Requirements & Attributes

  • Possess a Degree / Diploma in Finance or Accounting. Experience in Social Service Sector is an advantage.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in in Finance and/or HR
  • Familiar with ACCPAC accounting system (an added advantage)
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous and Resourceful
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
