A Day In The Life
- Strategic Alignment: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals, leveraging technological trends to enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantage.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Backlog Resolution: Prioritize and resolve backlogged IT projects while ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals.
- Cloud Migration: Design and execute a phased roadmap for transitioning from on-premises to cloud infrastructure, ensuring cost efficiency and minimal operational disruption.
- Project Management: Lead the planning, development, and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with business requirements.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring value for investments.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect IT infrastructure and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and monitoring for potential breaches.
- Resource Management: Optimize the allocation of IT resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to ensure project success and operational efficiency.
- Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on IT systems, tools, and best practices to promote effective technology utilization across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT risks, developing comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure system resilience.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT systems and solutions comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the company’s operations, integrating new solutions where beneficial.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to identify technology needs and propose effective solutions that support business objectives.
What We Are Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: ITIL, CISSP, PMP, Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS, Azure), or CCNP are highly desirable.
- 8-10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT project management, infrastructure management, and helpdesk support.
- Proven experience in cloud migration planning and cost-benefit analyses for hybrid/cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting or other automation tools to streamline server management tasks.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and hardware lifecycle.
- Experience in IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
