The Teaching Assistant is responsive to the needs of young children. He/she creates a secure environment for young children through nurturing respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with them.
The Teaching Assistant is intentional in building trusting and respectful partnerships with parents and families. He/she actively engages in centre initiatives and supports its collaborative efforts with the community. He/she also works closely with colleagues and contributes to a culture of collaboration and collegiality.
As an early childhood educator, the Teaching Assistant engages in continuous learning and reflective practice.
Fresh graduates from Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE) or students who are currently undergoing Early Childhood relevant courses are welcome to apply.
Job Requirements
- Obtained a Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE) or its equivalent
- At least Secondary 2 education or 8 years of formal education and attained an average level of 4 under the Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Employability Skills (ES) WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) series
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Show passion, dedication and willingness to make a difference in children’s learning
