About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Merchandising Manager to oversee and optimize the product assortment and in-store merchandising for our luxury retail brand. This role requires a deep understanding of luxury market trends, consumer behavior, and operational excellence to drive sales, and brand image.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement seasonal merchandising strategies that align with the brand’s vision and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to ensure an innovative and competitive product mix.
- Collaborate with global teams to adapt the brand’s assortment to regional market demands.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, presenting actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
2. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence:
- Leverage advanced analytics and tools to assess market trends, customer behavior, and product performance.
- Develop predictive models and KPIs to forecast demand, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks.
- Drive data transparency and establish automated dashboards for real-time decision-making.
- Define and manage product assortments by store location, ensuring alignment with customer profiles and sales performance.
- Monitor SKU performance and adjust allocations or markdowns to optimize sales.
3. Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, from product selection to sell-through analysis, ensuring an optimal balance of innovation and inventory control.
- Monitor SKU performance and execute allocation and replenishment strategies to meet store-specific demand.
4. Visual Merchandising:
- Partner with visual merchandising teams to create displays that elevate brand identity and product appeal.
- Ensure consistency of in-store presentation across locations, adhering to global guidelines.
5. Sales Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct regular sales analysis to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare detailed reports on product performance, inventory levels, and market trends to inform future strategies.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and retail teams to ensure seamless product launches and campaigns.
- Train retail teams on product knowledge and merchandising standards.
- Act as the point of contact between the brand headquarters and regional stores.
- Support Franchise during buying sessions and ad ’hoc requests
Qualifications & Experience:
- 8 years+ of experience in retail merchandising or planning with a focus on data-driven decision-making and business intelligence.
- Proven track record of using analytics to drive sales and profitability in a luxury retail setting.
- Expertise in tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience in managing large product portfolios and complex supply chains.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury retail landscape, including customer expectations, trends, and competitive insights.
