Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and efficiency across the Asia region. The selected candidate will report to the Global Tax Director based in Europe and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local tax regulations while aligning regional tax strategies with the organization's broader financial goals. This role is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage corporate tax matters, including income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing for the company's Asia operations.
  • Lead negotiations related to tax agreements and collaborate with headquarters, local authorities, and external advisors to ensure compliance.
  • Provide support in maintaining internal policies aligned with tax regulations across different jurisdictions.
  • Act as the primary liaison with tax authorities and key stakeholders across various regions.
  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance and managing adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor tax compliance processes in collaboration with local management and third-party service providers.
  • Offer strategic tax insights and evaluate potential impacts on business initiatives.
  • Support audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Analyze regional cross-border transactions in relation to tax treaties and free trade agreements.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on tax planning for strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, international consultancy, or in-house tax department of a multinational company.
  • Strong expertise in transfer pricing strategies, documentation, and regulatory compliance, including experience with tax agreements and regulatory frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of tax laws across the Asia-Pacific region, including tax treaties, free trade agreements, and incentives.
  • Experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax rules and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong project management capabilities to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and business operations.
