The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication, testing, and control of micro/nanorobots and will work closely with the Principal Investigator to support multiple research projects exploring the biomedical applications of magnetically controlled microrobots.

Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated Research Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication, testing, and control of micro/nanorobots and will work closely with the Principal Investigator to support multiple research projects exploring the biomedical applications of magnetically controlled microrobots.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop micro/nanorobotic systems for biomedical applications.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of microrobots in various environments.
- Assist in the fabrication and characterization of soft and magnetic materials for robotic systems.
- Develop and implement control strategies for magnetic actuation.
- Collaborate with researchers and students to advance ongoing projects.
- Assist in preparing research reports, papers, and grant proposals.
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s and or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong research experience in micro robotics, soft robotics, or magnetic actuation.
- Hands-on experience in fabrication, control, and testing of small-scale robotic systems.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory work.
- A good publication record is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and spoken communications.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
