If you share our vision and possess the qualities we seek, join us!What you will be working on:Your main responsibilities will be to provide administrative support in ensuring efficient management of daily tasks and scheduling of engagements for your principal. The key responsibilities include: a. Scheduling of meetings/events/engagements. b. Managing calendars, emails and phone calls; c. Making official work trip arrangements; d. Administrative support for the principal, and for the Division as assigned; e. Assist in organising events and/or related support work for the department or be part of a committee to organise events, manage visits by VIPs and others, for the Ministry; f. Maintaining records and filing systems; g. Taking minutes of meetings; h. Managing budgets and expenditure; and i. Any other duties assigned by your principal.What we are looking for:You should be a Singapore citizen, preferably with some relevant working experience as a personal assistant and/or corporate support or administrative work in the public sector. Candidates without these qualifications but with relevant working experience will also be considered. You should possess good written and spoken communication skills, time-management skills and some IT skills. You are expected to be an independent worker and have good initiative, a positive attitude, and be a good team player. You should also be a self-motivated and resourceful individual.About Ministry of Transport:The Mission of Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore's land, sea and air transport sectors so as to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: • Civil Aviation and Air Transport • Maritime and Ports • Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
