  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

A*STAR IDL is seeking for a Research Officer to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. We are seeking a motivated and fast learner to participate in projects the development of interventions for treating and preventing infections cause by antimicrobial resistant pathogens.

Job Description:
  • Design and conduct experiments including data collection and analysis.
  • Perform meticulous recordkeeping and draft reports and presentations to collaborators.
  • Oversee daily laboratory activities and help manage the lab?s routine admin duties.
  • Help new students and postdocs settle into the lab, transfer techniques to them, and participate in their research.
  • Ensure safe technical practices and procedures.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Immunology, or related field.
  • At least 6 months of prior wet lab experience, and relevant experience in molecular biology and in cell culture.
  • General lab skills in molecular biology
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently and multitask.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • A strong desire to constantly learn and acquire new skills.
