Responsibilities

This position is to support research in biomass conversion for fuels and chemicals. The selected candidate will work on catalyst design, process development, and system optimization to enhance woody biomass valorization. The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting experiments related to biomass conversion, catalytic reactions, and process optimization.
  • Developing and characterizing catalysts for biofuel and biochemical production.
  • Performing data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of research findings.
  • Writing research papers, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Research experience in biomass conversion, catalysis, and sustainable energy technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory research, including catalyst preparation, reaction testing, and analytical techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Priority will be given to candidates interested in pursuing a PhD in related research.
