Summer internship period at FWD Group Office Singapore is from May 19 to August 01, 2025

What you will do:

  • Undergo a 11-week summer programme designed to provide you with an exciting, fun and supportive learning experience and responsibilities which mirror work life at FWD.

  • Develop a good foundation on FWD products and services. You will collaborate across different business functions to execute your assigned tasks and projects.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and solutions to perform tasks and improve existing processes.

  • Get an opportunity to be assessed and fast track transition to FWD Digital Graduate Programme, an 18-month program with three 6-month rotational experiences across a range of departments.

What you’ll need:

  • Preferably 3rd year or final year students, and must be available for a full-time internship from May to August 2025

  • Passion for digital initiatives and process enhancement through technology enablement

  • Ability to work in an agile and fast-paced environment

  • A high personal drive to achieve results, proactive, and good at execution of assigned tasks

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills

  • Fluency in both written and verbal communication

  • Ability to quickly solve problems on your own or with a team

  • Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing

The following departments will be accepting interns this year -

  • Group Compliance - Doing the right things right! Good governance is at the heart of all our decision making. At Group Compliance, our goal is to make sure that every individual at FWD knows what it means to do the right thing in the context of their respective roles.

  • Group Technology - Information Security - As FWD expands its business operations and embarks on digital initiatives, it also increases the risks of cyber threats. The Information Security team pays great attention to corresponding cyber risks and strives to improve overall IT security posture. There are three key business areas of the Information Security team: (1) Cyber Threat Management, (2) Compliance Management and (3) Customers Trust.

  • Group Digital - FWD maintains a strong focus on digital and data to help deliver innovative propositions, services and experiences to our customers. The team has the following pillars : (1) Data & Analytics - Data Engineering, Data Science and AI Algorithms, Data products and partnerships; (2) Generative AI Commercialisation & Platform; (3) Digital Delivery, and (4) Future Office – with each team supported by the Digital Strategy & Governance team

  • Group Distribution and Proposition - (1) Group Distribution our aim is to ensure we have the right mix of sales channels to give our customers the best-in-class purchase journey and to grow our business in the right way. The team aims to empower FWDs distributors with innovative digital and product propositions and provide holistic support across the distribution journey from prospecting, sales activation and customer servicing. (2) Group Proposition - being a trailblazer in insurance isn't just something we say at FWD. It's something we do. It means we understand customers better than any other insurance company, even ones that have been around for over 100 years. But it doesn’t stop there, because we put considerable effort into proving it. And that’s where our products and proposition come in. What to expect during the interview process:

  • Online Screening - Please submit your application online. We will review your application, and if you are shortlisted, we will reach out to you to schedule an interview

  • HR Interview - you’ll demonstrate your interests, abilities and personality and learn more about your preferred department

  • Business Interview - if you are selected to move forward, you will proceed with to meet with the hiring manager for an interview. This will be your opportunity to showcase your skills, abilities, and motivations for joining FWD

  • Offer - successful candidates will be offered an internship role at FWD
