The role and responsibilities
As our Educational Teaching Assistant, you will ensure a smooth educational process and provide support in our preschool/primary school where needed. You support the English teachers within our primary school and preschool. You assist Dutch teachers with substantive, guiding, caregiving, and administrative tasks. You work closely with the teachers, who always remain responsible for the entire learning environment.
You will be:
- preparing lessons and guiding individual students with their tasks;
- supervising the class and assisting with administrative tasks;
- evaluating with the teacher and identifying problems;
- organising and setting up the classroom;
- motivating and inspiring students;
- improving the quality of education and supporting teachers and students.
- at preschool, you will also assist with diaper changes, toilet training, and maintaining children’s hygiene needs in a respectful and nurturing manner.
You ensure all safeguarding measures are strictly followed, providing a safe and secure environment for children. Report and address any concerns according to the school’s safeguarding policy. With this, you build a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where all children feel valued and empowered to explore and express themselves.
You have
- Complete your GCE N-Level or accomplish a NITEC, supplemented with relevant certifications, such as the Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education, Teaching Assistant Certification, or the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
We are looking for an adaptable team player, who takes initiative, is ICT literate and is familiar with Google Suite.
Our offer
An employment contract starting as soon as possible. A contract from the date of employment with an initial end date of 30 June 2025 (potential for renewal, depending our formation plan 2025/2026).
Your full-time salary lies between $ 2,200 and $ 2,500. In addition to your monthly salary, based on your experience and expertise, you will be entitled to a monthly transportation allowance and follow the school holiday schedule for teachers. Furthermore, we provide a health insurance package and offer a bonus payment.
