We are looking for a Research Assistant to join the research group in the School of Materials Science and Engineering. The role will focus on developing novel membrane materials for organics separation applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables
Lead research projects
Assist in building the lab
Collaborate within the group or with other groups for different projects
Assist in mentoring students
Assist in grant writing
Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
Familiarity with the synthesis of 2D materials and conjugated polymer, membrane fabrication, and separation applications
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and to setup instruments
