Role Description
The incumbent will be joining our team as Customer Service Officer in our subsidiary company, SH Cogent Logistics Pte Ltd. The Customer Service Officer will be responsible to create job orders, process shipping documentation, provide haulage and shipping information to customers to fulfil their logistics requirement.
Duties:
- Attend to customer enquiries and ensure accurate capture of job requirements for all orders.
- Maintain business relationship with customers.
- Advise customers on delivery schedules and inventory-related matters.
- Communicate customer requirements to the trucking operations team for execution.
- Create trucking jobs and monitor their progress to ensure deadlines or specified dates are met.
- Monitor trucking jobs and provide timely update to customers on shipment details including update of container details to system.
- Assist in permit declarations for job orders when required.
- Handle all documentation and administrative duties; ensure proper filing of invoices and job sheets.
- Ensure accuracy and precision of billing processes and maintain billing system data integrity.
- Assist in accounts receivable processes including billing, debit notes and credit notes.
- Support superior in data collection for financial or relevant reporting.
- Communicate and coordinate with appointed third-party partners regarding job orders.
- Assist to prepare ad-hoc quotations or commercial rate requests.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service/ shipping documentation role in a 3PL company.
- Strong knowledge of haulage operations and shipping permit declaration procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues and external partners.
- Competent in using TradeNet is an advantage.
