About the Role

TEMP MARKETING EXECUTIVE (4-MONTH, FEB TO JUN 2025)

We are looking for a skilled and resourceful Temporary Marketing Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate is marketing-trained, tech-savvy, and capable of quickly understanding and navigating internal systems. You will be responsible for implementing marketing campaigns and managing digital platforms with a focus on WordPress and Emarsys.

Team Overview

The Consumer Marketing team oversees the full subscription marketing funnel at SPH Media, from top-of-funnel awareness to bottom-of-funnel conversions. This includes executing campaigns to grow subscription numbers while also leading special projects designed to generate additional revenue streams for the business. This role will focus on supporting all marketing activities and ensuring the seamless execution of subscription and revenue-related initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, social media, paid media, on-site promotions, etc.) to attract new subscribers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, including Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Webpage Management (using WordPress): Update and maintain the publication’s eShop pages, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and work to effectively bring subscriptions.
  • Creative development: Copywrite, and work with design teams to produce compelling marketing materials.
  • Marketing Automation Operations (Emarsys): Create, deploy, and monitor email marketing campaigns using Emarsys.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on campaign performance, providing insights for optimisation. Monitor KPIs such as registrations, subscription starts, and churn rates, presenting insights to stakeholders regularly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with company goals.
  • System Familiarity: Quickly adapt to internal tools and processes to ensure seamless operations.

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of marketing experience, preferably with exposure to WordPress and Emarsys.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Team player, fast learner with the ability to quickly understand internal systems and processes.
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, email, paid media, social media, etc.).

Desirable:

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., WordPress, Emarsys, etc.)
  • Previous experience in media, journalism, or publishing industries.
  • Familiarity with subscription analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
