- Analyze orders and prepare weekly production plan for production facility.
- Prepare and distribute shipment paperwork as required to production facility and freight forwarder.
- Interfaces with freight forwarders, carriers, brokers as well as internal field and administrative personnel on shipments to include shipment paperwork as well as status to ensure prompt movement of shipments.
- Communicate shipment paperwork, requirements and/or status directly to production and regional Customer Service.
- Monitor shipments via flight information and advise Customer Service of any shipment delays or issues.
- Communicate opportunities for new lanes of business to appropriate team members.
- Develop logistics channels and identify future expansion requirements proactively.
- Identify infrastructure resources necessary to increase support and sustainability of logistics in the China region.
- Responsible for reconciliation of shipments as required; to include documentation and correspondence.
- Supply order fulfillment; monitor and follow up with all China stock level and inventory.
- Maintain database on purchases, materials, suppliers and costing relating to China supplies.
- Assist in regular stock take requirements and re-ordering of inventory as required.
- Pack sales accessories as required.
- Works with internal teams with a high sense of accountability and urgency.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives within Logistics Department
- Successfully meets all KPI’s given to the team
- Collaborates with other teams to drive resolution/shipment on open order reports
- Receive and maintain regional records and copies for sales orders.
- Other duties as assigned
- Up to 5% travel possible
- After hour oversight of shipments where necessary
- Undergo all formal Training Events as may be Directed from time-to-time
- Observe and Comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions and other Quality System requirements.
- Work within, and ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment Management System procedures, instructions and other requirements.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and two to five years’ experience in international shipping.
- The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate a high level of critical thought and showcase an ability to complete a varying degree of tasks with a high turn rate.
- Excellent computer literacy. Proficient in MS Office. Experience in SAP ERP will be highly regarded.
- Seeking a forward-thinking team player who is detail oriented, highly accurate, conscientious, and able to work independently, dynamic and possess strong organization skills.
- Must be able to handle multi-task/projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English & proficient in Mandarin. (In order to handle queries, feedbacks and concerns from Mandarin speaking associates in regards with the shipments matters.)
- Dangerous Goods Certification will be highly regarded.
