On behalf of one of its clients, The French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Business Development Manager.

Our client is a leading company with over 100 years of expertise in valves and fittings specifically designed for the transport of hazardous materials in tanks.

The company's branch in Singapore is distributing the Company's equipment in south east asia , with a Warehouse based in Singapore.

The company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth across ASEAN, Australia, and New Zealand for a range of products designed for the transport, transfer, and storage of hazardous fluids.

This is a key position that combines strategic market development, technical understanding, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth & Market Development:

- Drive the development of sales in the region, aligning strategies with group policies.

- Propose local product ranges, quantities, and pricing schemes tailored to market demands.

- Identify and establish partnerships with additional distributors in key countries.

- Analyze market opportunities and recommend new product developments to the Technical and Procurement Directors.

  • Client Relationship Management:

- Build and nurture relationships with tank owners, operators, service suppliers, and engineering companies.

- Support subsidiaries within the group in gaining recognition and approvals to grow their business in the region.

  • Reporting & Forecasting:

- Provide detailed monthly reports to the Board, including sales performance, offer activity, quarterly rolling forecasts, profit and loss accounts

- Submit written reports summarizing client visits.

  • Operational Support:

Manage local operations in Singapore, including supplier coordination, logistics, and human resource matters under the supervision of designated management.

Requirements

  • Proven sales skills with a track record of achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders—from workshop mechanics to C-level executives.
  • Experience in hazardous fluid transport and associated industries.
  • Strong technical background to support client needs and product understanding.
  • Fluent in English; fluency in Chinese is an added advantage to liaise with clients.
