The successful applicant will learn how to design, execute, and validate CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing in primary mouse and human T cells using various gene delivery and molecular biology approaches. The applicant will also be certified to work with laboratory mice by the A*STAR BRC and acquire a good level of technical proficiency and experience with mouse handling and experimental procedures. The applicant will also learn project and resource management skills and will have opportunities to be acknowledged for their scientific contributions on published manuscripts and IP filings.

- Manage our mouse colony in line with PI?s direction on project resource requirements.
- Perform routine mouse husbandry and genotyping.
- Assist with experimental procedures involving laboratory mice.
- Perform tissue culture and in vitro experiments on primary cells and cell lines.
- Perform routine flow cytometry sample preparation and data acquisition.
- Perform routine molecular biology procedures such as DNA preps, RNA extraction, Western blotting.
- Manage the inventory, ordering, and receipt of reagents and consumable for this project.
- Assist with the general logistics and safety management of the laboratory group.
- Bachelor?s degree in the biological sciences, life sciences, or related disciplines.
- At least 1 year of prior research work experience in biological sciences, life sciences, or related disciplines. (can be done as part of school curriculum, full-time internships or work experience preferred)
- Prior experience with laboratory research animals.
- Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and working in biological safety cabinets.
- Good proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Highly organised.
- Can work well independently and as part of a team.
